Waiting for a Shadow was written after we saw a video of ABBA singing Fernando. The idea for the first line of the song came from the video. The song was written in January 2008 and planned on a big scale but by the time we recorded it in our September 2008 recording sessions we had decided to change our sound to a simpler guitar style.

I’m Going to be Missing You is a light pop song recorded during our September 2008 recording sessions. It was written for the EP but did not fit in with the other songs so we put it on the single.

We have tried to give a simple bluesy feel to all the tracks on the EP. Foxy Freedom in Creation.

The four songs written for the EP are:

Dance Tonight is a dance song with a strong beat from our September 2008 recording sessions.

Freedom Here I Come was written around the name of the band during our June 2008 recording sessions.It was the first song we recorded in a simple guitar style so we have made the guitar riff our signature tune. The idea for the song was a reply to The Beatles Ticket to Ride with a little pun in the first line.

Let’s Forget about Christmas is about a Christmas party but we are not saying whose party ! It has five beats instead of the usual four so it will have everyone tripping over their feet if they try to dance to it. Great for ending a party and the lyrics are not what you expect.

Tiger Tiger is a darker song but also a play on the name Foxy Freedom.

The EP is called Foxy Freedom in Creation because you can really hear the band changing

Foxy Freedom News Column

We are just about to record some more songs as soon as the weather gets a little warmer. The sooner the better as we hate doing nothing.

We are planning two different things. First we are going to try some electronic pop which is not really our style but if it sounds good enough to release it will be a bit of fun. You will see what we mean if we release it. We cannot say more about that at the moment.

The second project we are planning is a new song in our usual guitar sound which will be good enough for a single. The song has not been written yet. The song we were going to use has been adapted as part of the electronic pop we are doing.

As usual we have to say that we cannot answer every email we receive from fans. There are only twenty fours hours in a day, which is certainly not long enough for us.
